Julian Dutch Apple Pie

sliced apples- enough to fill a pie tin.
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon flour
** crunch topping**
2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups margarine -- cold
Original pie crust recipe page 37 (or your favorite recipe)
Filling- use enough sliced apples to fill a pie tin. Toss the apples with sugar
and flour.
Crunch topping- use a pastry blender to cut in cold maragine to flour and sugar.
Blend until the mixture is crumbly.
Pie assembly- place the pie crust in the pie tin. Add filling mixture. Add
crunch topping.
Bake at $375 degrees for one hour or until until paring knife meets no
resistance.
Jennia's Notes: I always find that I have enough crunch topping to cover 2 pies.
So I either cut the recipe in half or plan to make 2 pies.
